I get this on a host that doesn't have the python3-is-python package installed:

jsmith@qgpu02 ~/katgpucbf $ git tidy
/usr/bin/env: ‘python’: No such file or directory

I'm not sure if there's a better way to sort this out in the shebang. But it may be worth looking into.
